Meet Amelia

I am a licensed psychotherapist practicing in Brooklyn, NY. I have a BA in Psychology from Wash U in St. Louis and a Masters of Social Work from New York University. After graduate school, I completed five years of advanced training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis from The Training Institute for Mental Health in New York, NY. I also completed advanced training in Maternal Mental Health from Seleni Institute in New York, NY. Additionally, I have experience supervising beginner therapists who are in training or starting their own practices.

My goal in our work together is for you to learn more about yourself through our collaborative relationship. I believe that there is no “one size fits all” to therapy, and instead prioritize treatment informed by the uniqueness in each of us. I am committed to remaining non-judgmental and authentic in our work together.

I specialize in working with adult individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, grief and loss, areas of self and identity, and the general frustration of feeling stuck or conflicted. I truly love my job and consider it an enormous privilege to do this work.
